15. THE COLLECTIVE #1 (Ik hou van jao)
I came up with an idea where I collect writings such as short essays or poems written by friends or strangers (with their permission) and put them up here because I strongly feel like every poem, every writings deserve to be read. At least by strangers. And maybe, if you'd like to put up yours too, feel free to email me at aisyahifni@gmail.com anytime. Your piece can be anything and can also be anonymous. I've already got roughly 17 poems with me right now and I'll be posting them one by one, numbered accordingly in the title of the post.
#1 Ik hou van jao - Amar Ashraf
Oh God,
Here we go again,
It's this feeling again;
So much love, yet so much hate.
I don't know whether I miss you or the moments we've had,
As I sit here,
In the corner,
Reminiscing those sweet moments,
And feeling morose.
How I wish this feeling,
These thoughts,
Would just end.
I still remember,
Vividly in my mind,
How we fought like crazy lunatic,
Yet we still love each other inside out;
Like if we were to take an oath,
It would be dying for one another.
But if one day you ever find someone,
Just like how you found me,
Please,
Please,
Please,
Let him love you right.
Let him love you better than I did.
If crying means you're sad,
Call me sad because I am,
As I write these lines,
With you in my mind.
But before I close this book,
With your name carved on top,
I just want to say,
Ik hou van jao (I love you).
